A Journey with God - 2

What It Takes to Walk with God
We want to look at what it takes to walk with God.
Enoch walked with God and he did not experience physical death. Noah walked with God and he and his family were preserved from destruction by flood.
Abraham's Journey of Faith
In Genesis 12: 1-4
God invited Abram to come on a journey with him, Abram did not question God, he did not delay, he took all his family and belongings and took the journey with God.
In almost every journey, we often don’t know what is at the end of that journey and sometimes even when we conceive the duration, it can end up been short or long.
The bible says Abraham followed God and believed in God, this was “accounted to him as righteousness”. This means that Abraham achieved a right standing with God. He trusted God and counted Him faithful.
(Hebrews10:23)
To walk with God, you have to trust Him to guide you and help you to arrive wherever He is taking you.
Walking Alone with God
Three is a crowd, when God calls you He want you to walk alone with Him, He wants you to come out of that relationship that is heading nowhere, untie yourself from unholy alliances.
Abraham left his family and friends in Genesis 12:1-4, to unknown destination with God, he left with promises that He has not seen, He agrees with God that He is faithful to lead him, guide him, protect him and provide him with all that is required to complete his journey.
The Importance of Agreement with God
Let us look at the importance of agreement with our Maker in order to do what He promised to do.
Can two walk together, except they agree.
Amos 3:3
When God prompt you to come, is because He has good things to give you and He knows that without Him, you cannot achieve it.
God expects you to trust Him, He is a Spirit and you must learn to depend on Him, you must restrain from asking friends and family for direction especially if you are convinced He calls you.
You must learn to depend totally on God, His ways are better and He will give you a smooth ride if you agree with Him.
Ask God before making any decision that will influence your journey with him, ask God for wisdom to deal with all the giants you will face on your journey.
A Commitment to Follow God
Please God today by making a commitment to follow His leading.
You will not miss it again in life and you will surely succeed in your journey as you stay with God.
With God all things are possible.
I pray that you receive the grace to follow Him from today with all your heart.
God bless you
